Stingray - Sushi Roller

Our Group is now actively recruiting a Sushi Rollers to join our exceptional hospitality team.
The Sushi roller will assist in all day to day operations. A Sushi roller should possess the following characteristics; be professional and personable, respectful, have excellent communication skills, very organized, efficient, creative and innovative. The Sushi roller must also be goal driven with a positive attitude and have a passion for the industry! The ideal Sushi roller candidate has a minimum of one year training.
As Sushi roller you will be responsible for making sushi and other offerings in compliance with recipes and standards at Stingray and customizing our guests' orders effectively and accurately while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Other job responsibilities include:
Creating high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging for take-out and dine-in plate preparation
Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to
Show gratitude and greet every guest with a big, genuine smile and make eye contact
Create connections with each guest in a friendly, professional and caring manner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
Perform monthly inventories training of new teammates as required
Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures
Complete all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties
Be a team player and have lots of fun!!!
Always remember the standards of the Executive Sushi Chef shall be maintained in his/her absence as well
Manage and maintain safe working conditions
Help in menu development, management and execution
Maintain quality of finished product
Take full responsibility for closing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen
Responsible to have the line set up and ready for service 15 minutes before opening daily
Able to lift 50 pounds to waist level
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Exhibit a sense of urgency
Willingness to work in a team environment
Basic culinary coursework or equivalent experience desired
Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
